Some comments made after the evening

The evening was a complete success and thoroughly worth attending.

Richard from Thornton Heath

I really enjoyed the session about gay history.

I’ve done Chaucer before at uni., and even at college, and I haven’t come across all these aspects. So in English literature and in sociology, where gender and sex come into it, I think teachers hide this field. They don’t go into it deeply.

They should encourage students to research more about sworn brotherhood. And I think people will be more open to it and will start accepting that it’s not some modern phenomenon or deviance.

It was normal, a real fact and everyone has to respect it and give respect to us.

Neil from central Croydon

A well researched and presented depiction of a little known religious ceremony; it is bound to cause a stir amongst the religious communities.

Jim of Central Croydon.

It's wonderful that a piece of forgotten gay history has been rediscovered.

Tony Walton from Wimbledon

First to thank you so very much for inviting me to take part in last night's "Celebration".

For me, the Making of Brothers Ceremony was a truly moving spiritual experience - to the extent that I was not merely an actor but a participant in a truly blest, solemn, religious Ceremony.

It felt right, honourable, dignified and, above all, consecrated.
