Discussing the change in law around the Equalities Act 2006 regarding the employment laws and LGBT staff, transphobia, homophobia and the effects it has on members of those communties.

Croydon Victim Support

Starting this month, Croydon Victim Support has a new member of staff supporting BME and LGBT hate crime, who will be joining their already existing LGBT liaision officer Catherine Evans. Catherine is doing a great job of supporting victims of transphobia and homophobia. We have worked together over the past months supporting Croydon LGBT victims.

I will be attending Victim Support on Friday November 21st to meet the new staff member.

Community Safety Unit

The C.S.U. has two victims who have come forward to get Police assistance in investigating LGBT matters. I am currently offering support to them.

Mayday University Hospital

Mayday University Hospital has arranged for me to attend the hospital bi-monthly. To conduct an LGBT surgery to its 3000 staff. This starts today, 18th November 2008. I have also been involved in training sessions to Hospital Management and Staff. Around the subject of Sexual orientation in the workplace.
